About Kristi

Individual, Children, Family, Trauma

  • Individuals

Kristi employs an eclectic approach when working with individuals, depending on their specified goals. This may include cognitive-behavioral based methods, family systems work, and EMDR (a technique used in the reduction of symptoms resulting from trauma).

Kristi works with individuals facing a variety of issues, which may include:
    • Depression
    • Anxiety
    • Grief
    • Relationship Difficulties
    • Traumatic events
    • Life Transitions

  • Children

Kristi believes that working with children is often actually prevention. It is said that “the first years last forever” and so when things go wrong in a child’s life, the impact can have lifelong effects. The quicker things can be put “back on track”, the more likely later problems are prevented. Some common concerns with children include:

    • Problematic Behaviors
      • Aggression/Anger
      • Problems at School/Childcare
    • Emotional Concerns
      • Difficulty with Transitions
      • Emotionally Sensitive or Reactive
      • Anxiety/Depression
    • Traumatic Events
      • Death/Move of someone close to the child
      • Abuse/ Medical Procedures
      • Divorce or Separation
    • Parenting Concerns
      • ”Strong-willed” Child
      • Discipline and/or Sibling Issues
      • Feelings of not being as close to your child as you’d like
