Individual, Children, Family, Trauma
- Individuals
- Kristi employs an eclectic approach when working with individuals, depending on their specified goals. This may include cognitive-behavioral based methods, family systems work, and EMDR (a technique used in the reduction of symptoms resulting from trauma).
- Kristi works with individuals facing a variety of issues, which may include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Grief
- Relationship Difficulties
- Traumatic events
- Life Transitions
- Children Kristi believes that working with children is often actually prevention. It is said that “the first years last forever” and so when things go wrong in a child’s life, the impact can have lifelong effects. The quicker things can be put “back on track”, the more likely later problems are prevented. Some common concerns with children include:
Problematic Behaviors - Aggression/Anger - Problems at School/Childcare Emotional Concerns - Difficulty with Transitions - Emotionally Sensitive or Reactive - Anxiety/Depression Traumatic Events - Death/Move of someone close to the child - Abuse/ Medical Procedures - Divorce or Separation Parenting Concerns - ”Strong-willed” Child - Discipline and/or Sibling Issues - Feelings of not being as close to your child as you’d like
